Buena Vista (known as “Bewnie” or said like “beautiful” to the locals) is such a nice hidden gem area of Colorado. If you’re looking for a great destination away from the busy and touristy Summit County, this area might be perfect for you!
The Surf Hotel in BV is a great spot along the Arkansas River right in town, making it a great place to host your wedding and all your guests overnight – or for the whole weekend!
Granby Ranch
Get chairlifted to your wedding in style at Granby Ranch, where you can say “I do” in mountain meadows full of wildflowers. Or maybe a private patio with a stone fireplace and valley views is more your thing? Either way, Granby Ranch has what you’re looking for. There are plenty of mountainside rental properties conveniently located nearby for guests.

RiverBend
Located along the beautiful St. Vrain river in Lyons, RiverBend is hands-down one of our top choices when it comes to scenic outdoor wedding venues in Colorado.
It has a few different ceremony spaces to choose from near the river, as well as a large outdoor tent (with a modern barn being built and launched in 2025!). And with the WeeCasa Tiny House Village next door, you can even have some of your guests stay overnight through a separate reservation.
Della Terra Mountain Chateau
Enjoy exclusive access to the Della Terra Mountain Chateau to celebrate your special day in style. This romantic venue has beautiful guest suites, impeccable architecture, and the option to get married among the mountain pines.
It’s also right near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, making it a great place for an extended day with a short adventure into the park on your wedding day, or for a two-day adventure with one day in the park and the next day with family!
The Little Nell in Aspen
The Little Nell is perfect for large and small weddings alike. Easily accessible from the Aspen airport, it is tucked away in the Rocky Mountains and has both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. With 92 guest rooms, it can hold up to 500 guests.
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club offers a grand escape with unforgettable vistas. It’s the ideal spot for couples who want the focus of their wedding to be on brilliant natural beauty and holistic wellness. Spacious rooms overlook the impressive geological features of Garden of the Gods National Park.

Observatory at Alta Lakes
Another great option for smaller weddings, the Observatory at Alta Lakes is perfect for ceremonies with 45 people or fewer. Surrounded by colorful wildflowers and soaring eagles, this iconic lodge in Telluride is sure to make for a memorable event.
Wild Basin Lodge
There’s plenty of abundant acreage to explore at Wild Basin Lodge. The 15,000 square-foot lodge and reception area is perfect for hosting your guests, and there are two equally incredible ceremony locations to choose from.
At 8,083 feet, Meadow Peak offers open space, a crisp breeze, and of course alpine scenery for your nuptials. River Run along the St. Vrain River provides a backdrop of serene, flowing water.

YMCA of the Rockies
YMCA of the Rockies has some of the most varied event spaces and accommodation options. Guests have the option of camping or staying in cabins, lodge rooms, or even yurts following your wedding ceremony and reception.
Estes Park Resort
Two indoor wedding ceremony spaces and two outdoor, all with amazing views of Lake Estes. That’s what waits for you at the Estes Park Resort.
For accommodations, guests can choose from stylish, elevated log cabins and spacious rooms and suites. This venue is first on our list of lakefront wedding venues in Colorado.
Grand Lake Lodge
Right in the heart of Grand Lake outside the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake Lodge is a fun venue for a destination wedding. It overlooks the lake below and the surrounding peaks, and is a dream to visit in both summer and fall.
The Lodge at Crestview Ranch
The Lodge at Crestview Ranch is just a quick drive away from Rocky Mountain National Park, so you can imagine the kind of natural beauty that surrounds you at this Colorado wedding venue. The Crestview Ranch can comfortably accommodate 25 overnight guests.
Deer Creek Valley Ranch
Tucked in the mountains and less than an hour from Denver metro, Deer Creek Valley Ranch is a great inclusive venue with a nice variety of scenery for your wedding.
It can also accommodate up to 20 guests overnight at their Homestead venue, making it a great home base for getting ready with your wedding party and a nice place to sleep the night of the reception.
Piney River Ranch
Open late June through September, Piney River Ranch offers gorgeous mountain views with plenty of event space. Don’t expect ultra luxe accommodations here, but if your guests are fine with cabins and glamping tents, this could be a great spot! Devil’s Thumb Ranch
Not too far from Denver, Devil’s Thumb Ranch combines the beauty of untouched wilderness with the comfort of a top tier resort and spa. Treat up to 300 guests with a variety of outdoor activities and ranch-to-table dining on your wedding weekend.
Lodge at Breckenridge
Overlooking the Breckenridge Ski Resort, The Lodge at Breckenridge is just minutes from the charming dining and shopping district of downtown Breckenridge and historic Main Street. This wedding venue includes two private luxury guest homes in addition to 45 guest rooms and suites. Bonus: it’s dog-friendly!
Four Seasons Vail
Four Seasons Vail boasts a seamless experience for your sun-soaked Vail wedding. Whether you choose a stunning ballroom wedding venue or the unique poolside terrace, you and your guests will enjoy luxury accommodations on site.
The Stanley
With indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony venues The Stanley brings a classy, historic feel while still being comfortable and up-to-date. Whether you have 40 guests or 250, there is the perfect location on this property for you and your group.
Taharaa
Make some of your most treasured memories at Taharaa, where you have two jaw-dropping ceremony sites to choose from. They can accommodate from 60 to 120 guests, who can book comfortable rooms and suites (with a hot tub if they’d like).

TenMile Station Breckenridge
Enjoy the extraordinary mountain views of TenMile Station Breckenridge June through early October. This breathtaking ceremony space is one of the best places to get married in Colorado, and it can accommodate up to 200 guests. They’ll enjoy the luxury condos and suites available, as well as the blend of outdoor activities and lively city spots.
Juniper Mountain House
Best for smaller wedding events, Juniper Mountain House has space for up to 60 people. This boutique hotel in Evergreen, Colorado has five guest rooms, private hiking trails, and two intimate ceremony sites, making it a wonderfully secluded mountain getaway. They only book 2-3 spots per month, so spaces fill extremely quickly!
Keystone Resort
Weddings at Keystone Resort can vary depending on your ideal set-up. With options like a spacious lodge, a pared down rustic mountain setting, or a classic country club and golf course, there’s lots to choose from. The resort wedding venues can accommodate anywhere from 74 to 260 guests.
The Broadmoor
