OH MY GOODNESS. I’ve been waiting months to share this styled elopement session with you all! Although I was hoping to get these photos published somewhere (and maybe they still will be someday), I decided it was time to go ahead and share them! <3
I had this vision for a non-traditional elopement at Great Sand Dunes National Park ever since my first trip there over a year ago. It is by far one of the most unique places in all of Colorado, and is definitely a stunning location for anyone looking to elope!
The theme I pulled together was the idea of love being like an “oasis in the desert,” so we used a bright green dress from ASOS for Clara, and we had Tim dress up in a white button up with navy slacks — no tie, no veil, just cooler colors and a more laid back vibe than your traditional weddings. I also knew just how much that dress was going to stand out among the warm tones of the sand dunes, and it came out SO beautifully, including the florals Arrangements with Marzeyeh provided for our styled shoot!
And despite the shoot looking warm, it was absolutely freezing. We woke up for the sunrise before 6 am, and temps were around 20 or 25 degrees before the sun rose. Clara and Tim were such courageous models and braved the weather for some of my now all-time favorite portraits!
PS – You can see other stunning model work of Clara on her website!
