One of the things we love most about the increase in popularity for elopements is that it truly opens the doors to go almost anywhere and do almost anything on your wedding day. Although most adventure elopements these days involve lots of hiking or off-road driving somewhere, our team at Skyewater Photo + Film can’t get enough of water-related activities! This styled elopement photoshoot shows you another example of what’s possible when you truly think outside of the box: including stand up paddle boarding in your wedding attire!
Before we had Sara and Garrett get into the water, we first explored some large rocks along the shore at North Catamount Reservoir, where we had a great view of Pikes Peak in the background.
We combined forces by using Sara + Garrett’s family-owned SUP and rented a second one from Pikes Peak Outfitter (they also have loads of kayak rentals and other things, too!). Then we headed out for the Catamount Reservoirs at Pikes Peak, and had some stunning clouds roll in to make for truly beautiful scenery for their portraits.
