Castle and Mansion Wedding Venues in the U.S.

Top Elegant Castle and Mansion Wedding Venues in the U.S.

Have you always dreamed about having a real fairytale princess wedding your entire life, castle and all? If you think you have to head out to Europe to say your vows in a stunning and historic chateau, think again. Turns out, there are many castles and mansions to choose from right here in the US!

Take a look at the following options for a truly magical and upscale wedding:

The Biltmore Estate

Known as “America’s largest home,” the Biltmore is located near the mystical Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina. The southern estate is a 250-room mansion that was built in the 1800s by George and Edith Vanderbilt and still maintains its original charm with 16th-century tapestries, a library with 10,000 volumes, a Banquet Hall with a 70-foot ceiling, over 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool and a bowling alley.

Bella Collina

Located just outside of Orlando, Florida, Bella Collina is a 19,000-acre estate with a lake-front view. If luxury is at the top of your list, this venue should be as well. Championship golf, a top-notch spa and pool, tennis and fitness facilities, lavish home rentals, and world-class chefs are some of the luxurious amenities this venue comes with. Additional bonus: Disney World is just a short drive away!

Iolani Palace

Iolani Palace was the original palace of Hawaiian monarchs where they held official functions, received dignitaries and luminaries from around the world. The palace has been renovated to its original glory and is chalk full of history. This is also great place for couples who are history buffs!

Gillette Castle

If the medieval times captivate you, so will the Gillette Castle. Owned and designed by noted actor/director/playwright William Hooker Gillette, the 184-acre estate was built with local fieldstone in East Haddam Connecticut and features a 24-room mansion reminiscent of a medieval castle. The property was purchased by the state of Connecticut in 1943 and now serves as a state park in honor of Mr. Gillette.

Cherokee Castle and Ranch

Echoing Scotland in the 1450’s, Cherokee Castle and Ranch was built in the midst of the Rocky Mountains in Sedalia, Colorado in 1920’s. With both stunning views and architecture, the castle is a breathtaking place to say your vows.

Powel Crosley

Situated right on the Sarasota Bay, the views at the Powel Crosley are just one of the spectacular features this 88-year-old estate has to offer. First built in 1929 for Powel Crosley’s wife, Gwendolyn, the Mediterranean Revival-style estate is featured on the National Register of Historic Places.

And I’m especially partial to this one, since it’s where my husband and I said our own vows!

Searles Castle

Tucked away in the New Hampshire woods, the Searles Castle is a graceful English Tudor castle that sits on a 175 acre estate. With its European furnishings, the castle is as beautiful inside as it is outside.

The Guggenheim Estate at Sands Point Preserve

Just a 20 minute drive from Manhattan, the Guggenheim Estate is a public park that features multiple mansions and castles to choose from for your magical wedding venue.

Squire’s Castle

Modeled after German and English baronial castles, the beauty of this Ohio castle is a great place for both wedding and exploring.
